 irate Fest will still host many of the same treasures of years past\, but 
 thar be a change in the winds. Aye...\, a change that will long be remembe
 red.\nThe kind of change that can rid a pirate’s fear of the hangman’s
  gallows as if they were still safely back in Tortuga.\nFor those of you w
 ho do not know of such a place\, Tortuga be an island in the Caribbean\; i
 t was one of the last free ports and a safe haven for piracy.\nWitness thi
 s change as Old San Carlos Boulevard is transformed into Tortuga\, where c
 ountless pirates and wenches roam the streets. Swords will be raised and p
 istols may be drawn\, and a few coarse words are sure to be exchanged.\nBu
 t there is little need for concern\, these are highly trained and professi
 onal pirates that perform at a level geared for children of all ages. \nTh
 is year’s Pirate Fest will provide a bevy of musical entertainment\, mor
 e one-on-one interaction between the pirates and patrons.\nIt will also in
 clude a whole new layout which will encompass participating motels\, resta
 urants\, and bars who will piratically adorn their businesses to complemen
 t the atmosphere of Tortuga.\nThere will be good food and drink\, art\, cr
 aft\, and merchandise vendors\, choreographed pirates fights\, pirate inva
 sions\, ship-to-shore battles\, treasure hunts and costume contests for yo
 ung and old\, and a living history pirate encampment with period correct s
 tyled vendors.\nSo if you are not careful\, you just may find yourself hav
 ing a good time amongst pirates while learning a little history of the gol
 den age of piracy.\nThe 5th annual Fort Myers Beach Pirate Fest will be he
 ld on Columbus Day weekend\, October 8th\, 9th &amp\; 10th\, near the brid
 ge on Old San Carlos Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach\, Florida.\nCome for th
